Meet the team

Danny & Jamie Schulz

Lead Pastors. Danny and Jamie have served in full-time ministry together for more than a decade. The dream to plant a church was in their hearts for over ten years before they were sent out to relocate to Spokane.

One of their biggest passions is introducing people to a life-changing relationship with Jesus, especially helping people who haven't grown up in church understand what it looks like to follow Him.

Together with their children David, Hudson, and Annie, ministry isn't something they do. It's who they are.

The Trinity

God has revealed Himself as one God existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, each unique, yet inseparable.

Created in His image

Man

God designed man and woman in His own image. When the first man and woman disobeyed God, sin entered and mankind fell from the relationship God intended.

God is good

The Father

God reveals Himself throughout Scripture as a faithful, loving Father. His story unfolding throughout eternity is one of unconditional love.

God became man

Jesus Christ

Born of a virgin, fully man and fully God, Jesus lived a perfect life, died on a cross for the forgiveness of sins, and rose from the dead after three days.

God is present

The Holy Spirit

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to empower believers to live victoriously over sin, giving spiritual gifts that strengthen and encourage the church.

God's only plan

Salvation

Salvation is a free gift which cannot be earned, received only by faith and the repentance of sins. We are restored to relationship with God by His grace.

A new identity

Baptism

A symbolic and spiritual act signifying death to sin and resurrection with a new identity in Christ.

Forever and ever

Eternity

Man was created to exist forever. Salvation gives us access to eternity in Heaven with God.

The Church

The church is God's plan for believers to learn and grow in relationship with Him, a community committed to becoming more like Him.

Next Steps

How our church is led

Three teams carry the health of Sun City: the staff who lead it day to day, the elders who govern it, and the overseers who hold us accountable.

Day to day

Guided by pastors & staff

Our church is guided by a team of pastors and staff across all our locations and for our schools. This team makes day in and day out decisions to keep us all moving forward with God's plans for our church community.

Governance

Protected by elders

The eldership is the governing body of our church, made up of members of our congregation who prayerfully govern together. They oversee the vision, doctrine, and ministry philosophy of our church, the finances of Sun City, and all its ministries.

Accountability

Strengthened by overseers

In addition to our local elders, two overseers serve as voices of care and accountability. They make sure we stay on track and healthy personally, spiritually, emotionally, and in our leadership, and are a resource for our elders in difficult circumstances.
