What to Expect
Not knowing where to go or what to do can be stressful. So, we put together a few things you might want to know before your first visit to Sun City Church. We want to help you feel at home and comfortable from the moment you step in our doors.
What should I wear?
Clothes. We prefer that you wear clothes. Just kidding! Feel free to dress up if you like. Or come in your jeans and sneakers. Most people tend towards a dressy casual look.
What kind of music do you play?
Our songs are current, upbeat, and celebratory in nature. We like to worship with high energy music.
Do you serve coffee?
Yes. Yes, we do. Not espresso…yet. But we have some pretty decent drip coffee. Come a few minutes early and grab yourself a cup before you head into the auditorium.
What about my kids?
They are going to LOVE our Sun City Kids Ministry! You can register online and save some time waiting in a line on Sunday morning. It will give you a little more time to make some new friends.
How long is the service?
We have 2 services on Sunday morning at 9:15 and 11am. They are about an hour and 15 minutes long.
How do I meet people?
It is sometimes hard to meet other people when you are figuring out where to go, juggling kids and all. So, we have created a Next Steps series of meetings to help you get the answers you are looking for about who we are, what we believe, and how to get involved, all set in a social environment where you can meet others on the Sun City journey. We meet every Sunday right after our second service at University High. We’ll feed you and your kids lunch as well as provide child care for these gatherings.
Do you have small groups?
Yep! We have three semesters of small groups where people get together around an activity or topic with the intention of encouraging each other and helping one another grow in our faith. You can browse our Small Group Directory and join one today.
